The management of one of the major telecommunication service providers in Nigeria, MTN have come out to apologize to citizens over poor service experienced by customers today, Wednesday, February 28, 2024.

The telecommunication giants while attributing the network failure to ‘multiple fibre cuts’ said their Engineers were working hard to resolve the issue.

Users of the network have in the last eight hours (from about 2pm Nigerian time) been experiencing difficulties making or receiving calls and other services.

Responding to the sad development, MTN said “Dear customer, you have been experiencing challenges connecting to the network due to a major service outage caused by multiple fibre cuts, affecting voice and data services.

Our engineers are working hard to resolve with services gradually being restored in some areas.

We apologize for the inconvenience and ask for your patience & understanding as the team works to restore full service as soon as possible”
