A VOTE OF CONFIDENCE PASSED ON SENATOR GODSWILL OBOT AKPABIO BY THE WARD CHAIRMEN, IKOT EKPENE LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA OF AKWA IBOM STATE THAT HE IS MORE THAN ABLE TO LEAD THE 10TH SENATE OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA
We the entire All Progressives Congress ( APC) Ward Chairmen in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area, the headquarters of Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District and the First Experimental local government Council in British West Africa hereby unanimously pass a Vote of Confidence on our illustrious son and leader, Senator Godswill Akpabio.
We hereby unequivocally vouch for his resilience and leadership prowess to successfully lead the 10th Senate with dexterity, comportment and commitment through life touching legislation that would impact positively on Nigerians and therefore, place the Nigerian Senate under his leadership in good stead amongst the international community.
Judging from the unbeatable track record of Senator Godswill Akpabio even from his membership of the Akwa Ibom state Exco as a commissioner, he brought to bear his leadership and administrative expertise as a commissioner in the various Ministries assigned to him and revived even a moribund ministry to become the cynosure of all eyes.
His records as a governor of the state for eight years have not yet been beaten in the country. He assembled five African Presidents in the state to witness the commissioning of a world class project : Godswill Akpabio International Stadium aka Nest of Champions.
This and other world class achievements can significantly attest to the sagacity in the leadership of Senator Godswill Akpabio who is well qualified with enormous wealth of experience to successfully lead the 10th Senate in the country.
In his first year in the Nigerian Senate, the 8th Senate suspended the Senate protocol and adorned Senator Godswill Akpabio with a principal office ( Senate Minority Leader) even as a first timer. This was not unconnected with the dexterity in his leadership exhibition as a governor.
As a matter of fact, he brought his leadership and administrative mastery to bear at the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, by overhauling the system and reviving the commission for optimal benefits of the entire Niger Deltans and the country at large.
Based on the above, we the Ward Chairmen hereby resolve that Senator Godswill Akpabio possess the leadership skills and acumen to successfully lead the 10th Senate in the country.
Senator Godswill Akpabio is a very loyal and committed member of the APC who has the interest of the party dear to his heart. He fired the first shot that led to the success of the President – elect at the presidential primaries by stepping down for H E Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and pulled his delegates to vote for him.
We appreciate the APC NWC for zoning the Senate Presidency to the South South geo – political zone and hereby present Senator Godswill Akpabio to the Senators – elect as a well qualified legislator with great experience to lead the 10th Senate that will impact positively on Nigerians.
