There were palpable jubilations and commendations at the Etinan Local Government Council Secretariat on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 following the successful arrival of a multi-purpose grader belonging to the local government. Our Correspondent who monitored the ceremonial receipt of the multi-million naira equipment reported that staff of the Council were seen discussing in groups about the unprecedented proactivity of the Council’s leadership.

The grader is one of such equipments procured by former Governor Godswill Akpabio’s administration and shared to local government areas for purpose of grading and opening up rural roads across the state. A staff of the Council who spoke to our Correspondent on condition of anonymity alleged that the grader was missing from the Council for many years and applauded Hon. Uko Umoh-led administration for ensuring its return.

Receiving the equipment on behalf of the Council, the Vice Chairman, Hon. Imaobong Michael extolled the resoluteness of the Chairman which she noted enhanced the return of the grader to the Council for the purpose for which it was procured.
