The Chairman of Akwa Ibom State Environmental Protection and Waste Management Agency (AKSEPWMA), Deacon (Dr) Prince Ikim, was among the few distinguished Nigerians who, last night, received the Support Leadership Award from the Nigeria Police, Akwa Ibom State Command.

According to the Commissioner of Police in the State, CP Olatoye Durosinmi, the award was in recognition of the outstanding support that the AKSEPWMA boss has provided to the State command of the force.

He stated, “Prince is indeed a good son, and he is always available at any moment whenever his services are needed.

“When I arrived in the State a year and seven months ago as the 31st CP, the front of the headquarters was not good enough. I called upon him, and he did a great job in the entire headquarters, giving us the best aesthetics befitting it.

“Again, the construction work we carried out at the headquarters would have been difficult without him. Each time we needed anything, Prince ensured the equipment, the type of sand we needed, and many other things were available for our construction work. So, Prince Ikim has been a pillar behind us, and I cannot really quantify in Naira and kobo what he has done, but this award is a token, and I’m here to thank him for what he has done for the police in the State and humanity.”
